Hope had a very busy Halloween! So it was only fitting that she dress as a little bee. Thursday, we shopped for pumpkins and candy, and made our preparations. Friday morning, we had a special session of Music Together, where all the kids dressed up, and Caroline (our teacher - a cat in the photos) incorporated lyrics and sound effects tied to the costumes throughout our usual songs!
Around 5pm, we donned the bee suit once more to greet Daddy and the trick-or-treaters. Though the bee hat was a problem initially, Hope got used to it, and it ended up being the bulk of her costume as the night wore on. She had great fun saying "hi" to all the kids, handing them candy, and improvising creepy organ music in between. The stomping on the stairs and loud greetings made bedtime tricky, but we all managed. As a funny side note, Noah from across the street (Alex will remember him as "helpful" during the yard sale) proclaimed that our house smelled like sausage. He said all the other houses did too, though, so I guess that's alright. :) HAPPY HALLOWEEN! (70 treaters so far - 8:30pm)
