Also this week, the sun has been out, making for some great afternoon strolls. On Wednesday, the zMoms met up for strollerderby on the riverfront - - we did the 3-mile circuit up the Eastside Esplanade, and back down the other side. Oh, and we stopped for ice cream at Riverplace - - naturally! It was a glorious 60+ and sunny, so I donned a short-sleeved tee and got some much-needed Vitamin D.
Earlier today, Hope "skyped" internationally for the first time, connecting with her new friend Theotime, the nearly two-month-old son of Clemence and Hugues, who relocated last year from France to Morocco. It was so great to chat with Clemence, who looks wonderful and is very much enjoying life in the Casa - - Casablanca, that is. Someday, Hope and Theotime will have an exchange, just as their mommies did. Just another great example of technology bringing people together. You, too, can Skype - - for free - - but it won't be free forever, so get on it!!!
And in other news, Hope is learning to put herself to sleep without extensive soothing at naptime. This is great, because it means we can keep feeding to the designated times, but also get our naps when we need them. Before, napping and feeding kind of went hand in hand, and I was getting worried about either over-feeding, or creating some sort of dependency that wouldn't be realistic moving forward. It only took 10 minutes of fussing, for example, for the nap Hope is enjoying right now.
Here are some additional cute pics snapped during the week. Still reading! Cameos by Clark and Jordan. xoxo - N
