First Days of Co-op

Hope started co-op playschool (pre-preschool) this week. She'll be attending 3 days a week, with me working parent shift 1 day a week (with Zane as a tag-a-long). The program is entirely parent run, with 3 parents and about 8-10 kids each day. The space is big, clean, fun, and packed with new things to do. (Note Hope's first art piece: Rain Cloud.) It's a loose schedule, based around open creative play, and the kids range from 18 months to 4 years. In addition to the playspace you see here, there's a great shared playground immediately outside, which they visit for an hour each day except in the most inclement weather.

Hope seems very comfortable, and is quickly getting the hang of things. The other night, she whispered to Daddy at bedtime "Hope likes co-op" and each day she's asked to "come back again sometime." While we get misty at the thought of our little girl growing up, co-op feels good - the right place at the right time. xoxo Mama N
