cing on Zane's birthday cake: Uncle Alex spent the weekend with us! We had typical blustery May weather, but still managed an afternoon trip to Multnomah Falls and Edgefield for lunch. Upon arrival at Edgefield, Hope declared she was "in the country!" - referencing a page (we think) from her beloved Richard Scarry.Both kids really responded to Uncle Alex with exceptional warmth (and he to them) - it was a wonderful weekend, and we wish for more like it in the near future.
