We are back now from three lovely weeks in Florida! Where to begin? Grandpapa came out to fetch us, since traveling with these two really requires two adults for best results. Our travel was pleasant, despite our early start (6am flight meant 4:30 wake-up). The kids behaved predictably, and passengers were nice about switching seats so Grandpapa could sit conveniently across the aisle."Home" in Sarasota, we made the best of a cooler forecast by visiting a number of local indoor/outdoor attractions: Jungle Gardens, G-Whiz (children's science museum), Mote Marine Laboratory. We made a tour of local playgrounds! (Hope was especially impressed with the one at Marina Park.) We had a fancy lunch at The Bijou Café. We even bundled up and went to the beach.
Daddy B joined us for the third week of our trip and brought us home. The flights back were a lot more "interesting" - - we burned through both back-up outfits due to failing eco-diapers (word to the wise: use a conventional diaper on the airplane!), and Hope threw up when we touched down at PDX. Thankfully, with early flights once more, we were home before Noon, giving us plenty of time to recover!
I am overwhelmed with photos to share, and will post the majority at Flickr (link to follow). Here's just a taste of the great fun we had with Grandmama and Grandpapa B. Zane's baptism will be covered in a separate post.
