Holiday Fun - Part 1

The "official" Christmas holidays began on Tuesday when Mama and Papa *miraculously* caught a break in Portland snow-panic weather and arrived safely (and even on time!) at our home. We all happen to love the snow, outside of a few travel inconveniences, so shoveling and making snow animals were a fun way to spend our time the day before the night before Christmas. Christmas Eve was pretty mellow, as Martha got snowed in and conditions made it difficult for Liz and Jeff to even join us from a neighborhood away! We ate a bunch of seafood, leaving much of the crab for Christmas Day.

Oh! I should mention that Alex was not so lucky in his travels - his flights were cancelled on Tuesday and rescheduled for THURSDAY...so we've basically pushed everything out a day and postponed our "official" Christmas celebrations until the 26th. From what we hear, this is happening in Bristol, too, so you could say we're just keeping up with family tradition. :) Nevertheless, keeping busy while we wait has not been difficult, since Hope is *so* busy herself.

These photos of Hope's Christmas with her parents and grandparents are a gift in themselves! Hope to see you on Saturday at Wink and Becki's.

You are right, Christmas on the 26th is a nice way to make a special time with family and friends last longer. Merry Christmas to the West Coast Family!
