We tested out the Chariot, and it was a roaring success - Hope was shielded from the wind (and in the coming months, rain, cold, hail, etc), had all her toys and snacks accessible, and we navigated the bumpy athletic fields swiftly and easily with the big nubby tires.
Daddy had a decent race, just with a dropped chain that set him back for a few minutes, but most importantly, Hope got some needed practice in applauding and cheering for the riders. She is still not 100% consistent, but she has improved her timing so that Daddy was able to see her clapping on a few passes by the barricades. (See video.)
This really is a neat course for riding and spectating. Due to terrain restrictions on the Chariot, however, I wasn't able to get in where the real action is, but found some photos from last year's race on Flickr if you are interested. Last year, it was rainy and muddy, so these pics are pretty intense.
