All Treat / No Tricks

It was a Happy Halloween at the house this year... The neighborhood was hopping - - we had 58 kids at the door, up from the low 30s last year, and 20s the year prior. I got a lot of comments from chaperoning moms (and some curious little girls) on my pumpkin belly! And most of the groups answered that they did live in the neighborhood, although they also had friends with them who didn't.

Things are clicking along now on the pregnancy front. According to the doc, I'm already 50-60% effaced, and "fingertip dilated" - - so with 4 weeks to go, my body is in good shape for things to come. Christine delivered her new little boy Jackson on Halloween morning, getting us further excited about the big event coming up. B has been painting up the nursery, and all the furniture we'd ordered will be delivered this week so we can start putting the pieces together. I'm looking forward to a day very soon, where we can sit in our designated chairs, look around the nursery, and feel satisfied that Zuzu's Place is ready for her arrival.
