Trick or Treat!

Halloween 2010 - our first year actually trick-or-treating with the kids. Grammy and Pappy were visiting, so they manned our house while we hit the Gulch with Hope and Zane. We visited our immediate neighbors first, and then skipped a block to meet up with Hope's friend Olivia (who also attends Co-op) and her family. (Olivia is the orange fairy in the photos.)

Hope really took to the task and executed like a pro - she marched bravely to each door, rang bells that were in reach or knocked if necessary. Once candy was doled out, she gave a curt acknowledgment and was on to the next house, declaring "let's go to the next one! i need more candy." Zane did well too, although he required help "flying" up stairs and down. It was great to go as part of a group, especially with one adult witch as the top-of-stairs escort. With (relatively) mild weather in the high 50s and no rain, we couldn't have asked for a better Hallows'Eve.
