Summer At Last

Summer was a long time coming here in the PNW. We finally started to see consistent temps in the 70s around July 4, but it took until this week to break 85, which it did - suddenly - the day Grandmama and Grandpapa flew back to Florida.

We had a nice little visit with Grandparents B. It was somewhat action-packed, since it coincided with our finding, placing an offer on, and getting into contract on a new house. With some fancy paper shuffling, we were able to do so without selling ours first, but that project is also now underway. We'll be sad to leave our wonderful backyard...the new place has a nice private sundrenched backyard, but it's about 50% smaller (tradeoff: the house is 100% larger). More on that later of course.
