Dr. Bob commented on his apparent lack of stranger anxiety (similar to Hope's at this age) as well as on his strength and physicality, something immediately apparent to anyone trying to hold him when he gets excited about something! Both our kids have been (literally) off the chart tall and heavy at these early checkups, slowing down a little after they stop nursing. Must be Daddy's delicious dinners, because I mostly just eat whatever Hope doesn't at breakfast and lunch nowadays.
Lately, Zane has been working on "crawling backwards" - pushing up on his hands as high as he can go, and sliding back with a little rocking motion. He has a couple other moves like "the belly swim" and consecutive rolls that help him get around in a full 360 and cover a good bit of ground. Zane is also sitting fairly well in his seat at the kitchen island (though not yet reliably on the floor), and has started eating rice cereal and bananas. He's taking 2 solid naps during the day without too much coaxing, which is nice, but still wakes 1-2 times during the night for feeding.
Hard to believe it's already been 6 months...even harder to believe his sister will turn 2 on Sunday! I'm just looking forward to getting some sleep. ...someday...
