A Visit from Grammy

Grammy came to visit when Zane was born. She kept the house running, dutifully folding laundry and loading the dishwasher, and helped tremendously with Hope while we got our bearings as a family of four.

The two of them went on frequent outings, whether to the playground, up to Mount Tabor Park, or just around the block. Grammy fed Hope her breakfasts, and also introduced a new game of playing clean-up in the kitchen sink, which Hope calls "Hands," as well as some sound effects for the word "gross" which we hope will eventually fade from disuse. They did a lot of reading together, drawing hearts, and even played a little "Owl."

When Hope was napping, Grammy held Zane, sometimes for hours at a time. And whenever I could, I snuck in a nap of my own. Although it's always sad to see family go, we look forward to seeing Grammy, Pappy, and everyone else here in September for the T&B wedding.

Cheers! - NBH&Z

PS: And, yes, that last photo shows that Hope does fuss occasionally...more so now in her "period of adjustment." So much for a group shot with Grammy...sigh.
