On New Year's Day we stopped by Aunt Martha's in the afternoon for tea, cookies and presents. Martha's house was beautifully decked out for the holidays, with an adorably stout tree and mantle full of cheer. Liz and little Gabe came over too, and we had a nice time catching up post-snow-panic. Hope demonstrated her new tricks: toasting "cheers!" and eating cheese with a spoon. 2009 is off to a great start.
