Thankful

Hope's first Thanksgiving! Our Portland family congregated at Uncle Wink's house this year, and sat down to a feast for the ages - too much wonderful turkey, fixins, and sweets to even be catalogued here. Our contribution was a tray of homemade rolls, a rare baking experience with yeast, which required two days' preparation to yield a semi-satisfactory result. Running late, we missed the appetizers, but dipped in after dinner, undeterred by bulging bellies and the onset of tryptophan coma. (It's all good - I'm eating for three now, right?)

Ahh yes dear readers - some of you may not yet have heard that we are expecting another addition to our little family in late May! We haven't told Hope yet, but this next little brother or sister is just another reason to be thankful in this year already chock full of blessings.

My very charming dinner partner and I shared our mashed potatoes, mashed yams, mashed grapes, and mashed pomegranate seeds. Delectable!

Just finished eating one of your yummy rolls while reading your blog. Way more than "semi-successful"!
