July 4 - Family Fireworks

Later that day... Portland family convened at Aunt Martha's for a bbq and "fireworks" (carefully curated by Cousin Tom). It was our first time meeting baby Maggie - she was just as cute as advertised. The kids were very sweet with her...can't believe they were each that tiny just a few years ago. :) The kids enjoyed playing with snappers, and came around quickly to the fountains and sparkling displays that Tom set out in various combinations to the delight of the immediate neighborhood.

Favorite quote from Zane: "No clapping, guys!" Since his protests are delightful, I'm afraid we've been training him to hate the Happy Birthday song, and now, applause...
